This is not for everyone

Your footage
is better than
your grade.

The more your work stands out, the more reason a client has to book you over everyone else. Your style is your competitive edge — and right now you don't have one yet. That's what we fix.

The real problem

It's not that you
can't grade. It's that
no one teaches it right.

DaVinci Resolve is overwhelming when you first open it. There are endless YouTube tutorials but none of them are built for automotive videographers — and almost none of them teach you how to build a look that's genuinely yours. Meanwhile every month you spend searching is a month you could have been booking shoots.

No direction for your niche
Hundreds of creators. Dozens of styles. Almost nobody teaching color grading specifically for automotive videography. You spend more time searching for the right tutorial than actually learning — and you're still not sure if what you're watching even applies to your footage.
Your style is what books you
Clients don't just hire someone who can film. They hire the person whose work they recognise. A distinct look gives people a reason to choose you specifically. Without one you're competing on price — with one you're competing on identity.
Building from scratch takes months
Creating a Power Grade from nothing — finding references, learning the tools, testing, failing, rebuilding — takes months. That's months of shoots you could have booked. Starting with a proven foundation and building off it cuts that process down to sessions.
Hours wasted re-learning
You finally find a creator worth watching. You sit down, watch a 40-minute video, pause, rewind, re-watch — and still walk away confused. Not everyone learns the same way. A video talking at a screen can't adapt to how your brain actually processes things.
No one answers your specific question
You hit a wall mid-grade. You search for the answer, open four tabs, watch three videos, and 45 minutes later you're further from where you started. Real interaction — a real person, your specific question, a real answer — doesn't exist on YouTube.
Time you don't have
You have a life. A job. Shoots to plan. Content to post. You can't spend 10 hours a week in a rabbit hole piecing together a grading education that should take a fraction of the time with the right person guiding you through it.
Every other creator gives
you their look.
This teaches you to build yours.
Most courses hand you a LUT or a Power Grade and call it done. Your footage looks like theirs. Maybe you book a few more shoots. But you haven't built anything — you copied someone else's vision and called it your edit. The moment that creator's style goes out of fashion, yours does too.

This program is different. You get Andrew's personal Power Grade as a foundation — a starting point that actually works — and then every session is spent learning how to change it, break it apart, and rebuild it into something completely your own. By session 5 the grade is yours. It looks nothing like anyone else's because it came from you.

The difference between a good creator and a great one is a style so recognisable you don't need a watermark. People should watch five seconds of your footage and know immediately who made it. Not because of the car. Because of the way you see it.

That's what gets you booked. That's what makes you irreplaceable. And no one else in the automotive niche is teaching that.
"Oh yeah — that's shotbydru."
That's what your clients
will say about you.

Before & after

Every student.
Their own style.

None of these grades look the same. That's the point. Drag to see the transformation — then notice that each one has a look that belongs to that student, not a preset they downloaded.

A note from Andrew
I spent months searching
so you don't have to.
SWAP: [Fill with your story] — how long you spent on Instagram and YouTube trying to piece together a color grading education. The styles you chased. The tutorials that taught you nothing. The hours you'll never get back.
SWAP: The turning point — stumbling across someone with real knowledge who could actually teach you. How fast everything changed once you had the right person in your corner instead of a screen. What you learned in those sessions that you couldn't find in months of searching on your own.
SWAP: "If I could go back and pay for what I know now in the first couple months instead of waiting to be saved by the right video or the right person showing up — I would do it in a heartbeat. I would have booked more shoots. I would have honed more skills. I would have wasted less time. I'm going to be that person for you."
Why wait months to stumble across the right teacher when you can skip straight to the part where your grades actually look the way you want them to — and start booking shoots because of it.

Questions

Before you
book.

Who is this for?+
Car videographers already shooting in log who are confused by color grading and want to build their own professional style. You need to know how to film already — this program doesn't teach shooting. You also need DaVinci Resolve Studio (full paid version). Apply and I'll match you to the right option based on where you're at and what you're working toward.
What exactly is the Power Grade?+
Andrew's personal .drx Power Grade — the actual grade used in @shotby.dru content. Delivered before session 1 with an installation video so you arrive at session 1 already set up. The program then teaches you how it works and how to build your own from scratch.
How long does the program take?+
You choose your pace at the end of session 1. Accelerated (every 3–4 days) finishes in roughly two weeks. Standard (once a week) takes five weeks. Three days between sessions is the minimum regardless of track.
Is there a refund?+
No — all sales are final. This is intentional. Students who are fully committed show up, do the homework, and get results. That's exactly when this works.

Why wait months
when you can skyrocket
your progress now?

Every week you spend searching YouTube is a week you're not booking shoots, not building your style, not growing. Let's fix that — 1:1, in Resolve, using your footage.
